Come learn some of the traditional dances of Tunisia! Located in North Africa on the southern base of the Mediterranean, Tunisian culture is a blend of Berber, Arab, European and Turkish influences. We will look at photos, share stories, listen to different types of regional music, have a Q&A session and learn a short routine based on some traditional moves from all over the country. This is a unique, fun and very aerobic form of dance. All levels welcome. Join us and twist the day away!

About Pamela:
In addition to Bellydance, Pamela Ludwig has studied Modern dance, ballet, Butoh, Indonesian dance, Tibetan dance, and jazz. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Theater Arts and Dance from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master's Degree in Gender in History from San Francisco State University, where she completed her thesis on dance in Colonial Algeria and France. She spent one year in Tunisia studying language and dance. She recently completed the Belly Dance Teacher's Training Seminar with Hala. Pamela loves to integrate the study of cultural awaremess and history within her teaching, and now teaches dance at University Preparatory Academy in San Jose, as well as at private studios.
